Short Story: Last Day

So here it is: the first short story for my website. Last Day is a flash fiction piece (fiction of less than 1000 words), so should only take up a few minutes of your time. Written in 2018, it is the tale of a devoted husband and his memories of love.

You were here on Tuesday. It was a cold morning; the sky was so clear and strikingly blue that it looked like an oil painting. The sun had risen long before me and peeped in through a crack in the curtains. It bounced off a glass vase and danced in colour…
